Keep in mind that bots can go on- and offline again unexpectedly.
Common Problem No.2: My download breaks off before completion Settings should be as described in the guide and as can be seen in the screenshots. Go back to our mIRC configuration tutorial and check. Most likely there’s something wrong with your settings. – “ You have a DCC pending, Set your client to receive the transfer. Either try to remove this limitation by changing the firewalls configuration (rarely the problem but you can always check), or use a VPN to break through it entirely. – Your firewall might block DCC file transfers. Now please don’t join the club by hammering away on your keyboard, leave the poor guy some air to breathe and wait for a few minutes before trying it again! – Too many users try to access the bot at the same time, which might result in delayed responses. This is one of the few reasons to leave sounds on, since you’ll get a beep when a you receive a message directly addressed to you, but watch out: Hearing “beep, beep, beepbeepbeepbeepbeep!” all day long gets really old really soon. Watch for messages from the bot in the channel, it will tell you more. When no more downloading slots are free, most bots add you to a waiting list to ensure high downloading speeds for the other users. You could wait for the bot to come online again, but we suggest you should simply choose a different bot, read a different search result from your search engine of choice. In this case, you should get a message in the server window, telling you the command you send went nowhere because the user it was addressed to was not to be found.
